Choices In How We React

We always have a choice in how we react to someone or a situation.

Most of the time, we act or react because we see something as right or wrong.

Right, and wrong can lead to conflict, resentment, and emotional hangovers. At the very least, it can throw us off.

I choose to see things as we agree or disagree. Learning to agree to disagree made my life so much easier.

I can also choose not to let someone’s character defects bring out mine. That’s a lot easier to do when you disagree with someone versus the feeling you’ve been wronged.

You always have a choice. For those of us in recovery and leadership, the wrong choices have more dire consequences than for others.
