Please Walk Away

As a retail executive, I talked to many employees on the retail floor. Sometimes, I would be mid-sentence, and the employee just walked away. Nothing made me happier.

The staff member walked away because the customer who came into the store was a higher priority to the employee than I was. The way it should be.

Think about how your employees demonstrate their priority. Are they doing it in front of you? Are you thrilled when your employees walk away from you? Never be more important to your employees than the customer/client is.
